Random Story i Wrote Like Four Years Ago

Ok, I wrote this when I was around thirteen or fourteen, so it's horrible, but I felt like sharing anyways. Hope you like!

Elven Princess

It was a cold, rain. It chilled the tall, muscular, and very pretty girl to the bone as she walked down the street to her foster home. She wore jeans and a hoody with her head down. It was getting dark and she miserably kicked at a rock in her path. Why do I always wait until the weather gets worse to walk home? She was so welled up in her thoughts; she didn’t notice the slight twinge in her heart. Sara will be so mad. I’ll get water all over her house. Then she will call Robert and cry, “I try and I try, don’t I Rob?” then Robert will nod, “and this is the thanks I get. She makes me worry all this time…” ouch!

Then her head shot up. Her eyes registered recognition. She turned and saw a black SUV that she had seen outside of the school. It was creeping along behind her. It stopped when she turned; she looked into the windshield and saw two bulky men sitting there staring back at her. She turned again and walked steadily forward. Her sharp ears, now alerted, heard the SUV creep forward. She quickened her pace and so did the SUV. Finally she broke out in a run. She heard a car door slam and a set of footsteps running after her. I can run down an alley and disappear. I have been working on that; maybe my practice will help. I know I’m not suppose to use my powers, but that is the only thing that reminds me of my mother. She thought, but as she turned into an alley, a strong hand clasped over her mouth. She was dragged back towards the SUV. She tried to fight, but a strange ring on the hand shined brighter with her efforts. This shocked her, she tried a power, any power, but it was no use the ring just glowed even more.

“That’s right elf girl, try to fight me. It just makes me stronger,” whispered a low harsh voice in her ear. It called out, “Don, did you get the ropes ready?”

A slightly higher voice from behind them called back, “Yes, Snaps. They’re ready for the little elfling.”

“Good,” called Snaps, then to her he said, “Mr. Elensar will be glad to see you, AnaranĂ«.” He shoved her into the waiting arms of Don, who tied her feet and hands with a thin cord.

How did they know my elf name, how do they know I am an elf? Mr. Elensar, who is he. I don’t know a Mr. Elensar. My last name is Elensar, can it be… could it. My father, my father is dead. I can’t remember how, but I know he is dead, she thought.

“My name is not AnaranĂ«, it is Anna though. Close, but no cigar,” Anna said.

“Shut-up, smart-aleck,” said Snaps. He covered her mouth and nose with a wet cloth. “Now go to sleep.”

Anna’s heart twanged harder and harder, Yeah, yeah; I know I’m in danger. So stop warning me. The chloroform soon set in and Anna fell to the car seat.

....................................................................................................................................................................

She woke seven hours later. She sensed the car was traveling upwards. She sat up and looked out the window, and saw that they were in a forest. The mountains? she wondered.

Don heard her moving around and turned, “So the little elf child has woken up Snaps.” He sneered at Anna, “No witchcraft now, girly, or we’ll use this little ring here and drain all of your powers. You know what that is like, don’t you.” He smiled; Anna noticed his teeth were crooked.
She would have told him so if it weren’t for the gag.

Two hours later they pulled up to a cabin. Snaps stepped out of the car and walked to the back seat.

“Ride’s over,” he said, “time to meet with Mr. Elensar and get my pay. Come on.” He picked her up and carried her on his shoulder to the door. They stood there for about two minutes before Snaps turned and yelled, “Don, get yer darn butt over here and open the dumb door.”

Don jumped out and ran to the door saying, “Sorry Snaps, I wasn’t thinking.”

“No kidding,” mumbled Snaps. He walked in and dropped Anna on the floor. She gasped with pain, though no one could hear her. She struggled to a sitting position. Looking around the room she saw that it was empty except for a small cot at the opposite end.

A tall man was standing talking to Snaps. From the sound of their voices, Anna could tell that they were arguing. Something about the tall man caught Anna’s attention. She searched his features closer to see what it was. His body was well tuned, he was tall, and very handsome with long brown hair, but that isn’t what caught her attention. She stared disbelieving. He is an elf. He is the first elf I’ve seen since I was left at that orphanage.

He seemed to sense her stare and looked at her. His eyes were an electric blue that seemed to look into her soul. She knew that face, it was the same face that she saw in the mirror every morning.

What is up with this? she wondered. Why does he look like me? Is he my twin or something? It can’t be, I don’t have any family, do I?

He turned back to Snaps, “Is this her?” he asked.

“Yes, sir,” Snaps grunted. “She gave us quite a fight, so that is why I think we need double what you first offered.”

“You fool, if you wore the ring like I told you to, then she would have been easier to capture than a starving puppy with bacon.” Snorted the elf.

“But sir,” interjected Snaps, “I did wear the dumb ring, and she still almost broke free.”

“Really? I knew she was strong, but even father couldn’t do that. Very well, you will find your pay in the trunk of your car.”

“You mean it was there the whole time?”

“Correct.”

“So if I had ridden off with it you would have never known?”

“No, I would have known”

“Whatever,” Snaps mumbled as he left the cabin. Don quickly followed after him.

“Now that those fools are out of the way, we will see what you remember of our childhood, AnaranĂ«.” He walked up and took off her gag. “Do you remember me?” he asked almost hopefully.

“No,” Anna answered truthfully, “but what do you mean our childhood, and how do you know my real name, and who are you?”

He smiled, “My name is Fingolfin Elensar, and I am your twin brother. We were separated at the age of five. Remember after our parents killed each other over you?”

Then Anna closed her eyes and the rest of her childhood came back to her. She saw in her head her long forgotten past. She remembered their mother’s loving touch, father’s disapproving glare, and Fingolfin. She remembered calling Fingolfin “Fang” and him laughing and calling me “Anna-Banana”.

Anna smiled, but then she remembered that fateful night eleven years ago. She remembered their father coming at her in a menacing way. He was a few yards away when their mother ran between them. Her father threw their mother across the room without even touching her. He kept coming toward Anna. Fang was beside her, but he moved aside when their father motioned him to. Their father raised his hand and it glowed red. A beam shot towards Anna’s heart. Just before it hit, their mother pushed Anna out of the way taking the blow herself. She flew back into the wall.

Both Anna and Fang ran to her. She had a hole through her middle and her face showed pain. They tried to help her up, but she pushed them away. She stood and faced their father. Slowly she walked to him, sighed and, lifted her hand that now glowed blue.
They fought then, for hours. Anna and Fang watched from a corner of the room, holding each other with tear filled eyes. Each comforted the other in a way that only a twin can. Finally after what seemed years of fighting, their parents stood two yards apart crouching and panting. Simultaneously they stood and raised their hands. As the beams flew at each other, Anna couldn’t take it anymore and ran in front of the incoming beams just as they hit.

The force raised her up ten feet into the air, frozen mid-run. Swirling red and blue lights surrounding her. Slowly she fell to the ground, half conscious. The last thing she saw before she passed out was their mother and father falling to the ground. Their father fell first, unable to move, he fell where he stood. Their mother took longer, she walked to Fang (who was kneeling over Anna) and fell to one knee, she smiled (it was more of a wince than a smile), and softly said, “Anna will live Fingolfin, but she will be very powerful. Too powerful for her to handle. She will be a danger if she stays with you and is allowed to use her powers, she will never learn how to control them. You must have my clan take her to the humans and forbid her to use them. Then when she is sixteen she will be old and wise enough to control them, I hope. Then, and only then, can you go and find her. If she cannot control them by then, she will be too dangerous to live without help. If that is to happen, you must use the Draining Ring. Let us pray it doesn’t come to that.”

Anna opened her eyes and saw that Fang had slipped to the ground beside her. He was hugging her close, tears streaming down his face. She felt hot tears flowing down her checks to.

“Anna-Banana, I’m so sorry. I missed you so much when they took you away. I’m so sorry,” he whispered. “I’m sorry,” he repeated.

“It’s ok Fang,” she said, “I’m here. I've come home.”
